Marianna Siamisii is an active flutist from Cyprus, specializing in flute and piccolo, and a dedicated music educator. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Flute Performance at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory, where she studied under Aldo Baerten.

She has performed with several orchestras, including the Netherlands Youth Orchestra (NJO), the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, the Limassol Municipal Symphony Orchestra, and the Utrecht International Orchestra. Marianna is currently active as an extra substitute musician with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra with which she has also appeared as a soloist. Her orchestral experience spans a wide range of symphonic repertoire, with roles as principal flute, second flute, and piccolo.

Marianna was a finalist in the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Young Soloists Competition and received 3rd Prize at the Urs Ruttiman Flute Competition in Athens. Alongside her orchestral work, she is highly active in chamber music and is a founding member of Trio d’été.

In addition to her performing career, Marianna is deeply involved in music education. She currently teaches in the Leerorkest structure in Amsterdam and at Residentie leerorkest in The Hague, working with children of diverse ages and backgrounds.

Her teaching style involves teaching flute and piccolo, as well as recorder, AMV, rhythm, singing, and ensemble, and seeks to create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring atmosphere in which students can learn and benefit from the experience.

Marianna Siamisii is een actieve fluitiste uit Cyprus, gespecialiseerd in fluit en piccolo, en een toegewijde muziekdocente. Zij behaalde zowel haar bachelor- als masterdiploma Fluituitvoering aan het HKU Utrechts Conservatorium, waar zij studeerde bij Aldo Baerten.

Zij trad op met verschillende orkesten, waaronder het Nationaal Jeugdorkest (NJO), het Cyprus Symfonieorkest, het Symfonieorkest van de Gemeente Limassol en het Utrecht International Orchestra. Momenteel is Marianna actief als extra invaller bij het Cyprus Symfonieorkest, waarmee zij ook als soliste heeft opgetreden. Haar orkestervaring omvat een breed symfonisch repertoire, waarbij zij functies vervulde als solofluit, tweede fluit en piccolo.

Marianna was finalist van de Young Soloists Competition van het Cyprus Symfonieorkest en behaalde de derde prijs bij de Urs Ruttiman Fluitwedstrijd in Athene. Naast haar orkestwerk is zij zeer actief in de kamermuziek en is zij medeoprichter van Trio d’été.

Naast haar uitvoerende carrière is Marianna sterk betrokken bij muziekeducatie. Momenteel geeft zij les binnen de Leerorkest-structuur in Amsterdam en bij het Residentie Leerorkest in Den Haag, waar zij werkt met kinderen van uiteenlopende leeftijden en achtergronden.

Haar lespraktijk omvat fluit en piccolo, evenals blokfluit, AMV, ritme, zang en ensemble, en is gericht op het creëren van een positieve, inclusieve en inspirerende leeromgeving waarin leerlingen zich kunnen ontwikkelen en optimaal profiteren van de muzikale ervaring.
